Bogart

Insulinoma

Check out this handsome fellow!  Bogart is a 5 year-old Boxer that was presented to WVRC-Grafton for weakness, was found to have low blood glucose with an inappropriate level of insulin and was suspected of having an insulinoma (pancreatic tumor that produces excessive amounts of insulin).  Dr. Meinen performed an abdominal exploratory and discovered a tumor involving the pancreas and an enlarged lymph node which were removed and Bogart's glucose levels normalized quickly after surgery.  A diagnosis of insulinoma was confirmed on the biopsy report. Bogart was discharged from the hospital and is recovering nicely at home.
